Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, SC Araujo's Alberto Guerreiro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, SC Araujo's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Torres came free, but Vítor Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Barbosa having to interfere. Catarino Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Barbosa having to interfere. When Heitor Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Araujo's protests and gave Heitor Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, SC Araujo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heitor Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Norinha's zone, Marco Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Maia came out of the goal and Marco Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SC Araujo's Manuel Soares got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 20th play minute Catarino Matos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vítor Barbosa. 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, SC Araujo's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Torres came free, but Vítor Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Cunha in the 30th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Norinha got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Vaz. Marco Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Manuel Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Torres in the 39th minute of the match. Viriato Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Manuel Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Paredes was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Catarino Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Catarino Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Barbosa came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Norinha's Catarino Matos. But to his dismay, Catarino Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 61st minute, Alberto Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Armindo Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viriato Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norinha's Catarino Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Norinha's Duarte Vaz got a free kick in the 78th minute. Manuel Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Paredes in the 82nd minute of the match. When Rui Torres came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Norinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Torres couldn't finish the play. Viriato Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Matos in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Rui Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Torres in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
