Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filipe Antunes kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, João Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Surgacaes's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Espariz's Rodrigo Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes SC Surgacaes got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Assunção. After having played for 18 minutes, José Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Espariz booed when SC Surgacaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Machado having to interfere. When SC Surgacaes's Eusébio Assunção in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 41 played minutes Espariz got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Resende. 44 minutes into the match, Espariz's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Antunes came free, but Daniel Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Faro struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Daniel Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Surgacaes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Freitas in the 53rd minute of play forced SC Surgacaes's goalkeeper Joaquim Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vale couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Filipe Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Daniel Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, João Faro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0.
