The supporters of Renhadouro booed when Canhestres FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Óscar Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lucas Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Renhadouro defense, Óscar Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Leiria. The Renhadouro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Leiria should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Paredes got free with Lucas Leiria in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Óscar Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Sousa made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Nuno Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canhestres FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renhadouro the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Sousa in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Gonçalves saved Canhestres FC from getting behind. Lucas Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Nascimento in the 58th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Renhadouro got a freekick which was hit by Rui Sousa. When Rodrigo Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canhestres FC's protests and gave Rodrigo Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Canhestres FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rodrigo Veiga hit a great ball. Óscar Paredes took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Leiria. Lucas Leiria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Canhestres FC's Joaquim Amaro got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Rodrigo Veiga hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes in the game, Rui Sousa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vítor Gonçalves having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Renhadouro's Marco Paiva stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Vítor Gonçalves stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Canhestres FC of the goal. During the 80th minute of the match Rodrigo Veiga completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rodrigo Veiga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
