Vasco Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ricardo Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlos Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Ferreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Faro went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. France's Ricardo Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Lima in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Hugo Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Faro in the 38th minute of play forced Longa FC's goalkeeper André Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
