The supporters of Malvar booed when Longa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vasco Lima came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Longa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasco Lima couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Malvar getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Álvaro Sá hit a great ball. But to his dismay, Francisco Ferro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 71st minute Francisco Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Pereira in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Longa FC's Francisco Ferro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Santarém narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
