David Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Domingos Trindade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Alguber's Alexandre Veiga got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes in the game, Diogo Almeida dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The long shot by Francisco Monteiro in the 13th minute really tested Luís Delgado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Américo Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luís Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alguber's Domingos Trindade in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tanganheira FC's goalie prevented a goal. Abel Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Fábio Dantas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Luís Delgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Américo Morais's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Diogo Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Delgado. Alguber's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. José Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pinheiro having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Américo Morais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tanganheira FC and the Alguber players grew even worse after the yellow card. Américo Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Diogo Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Américo Morais recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Delgado. Américo Morais showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Diogo Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tanganheira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingos Trindade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tanganheira FC's zone, José Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Pinheiro came out of the goal and José Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Trindade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Tanganheira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Trindade came free, but David Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but David Pinheiro made a huge save. David Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when José Melo sent off a good shot on target. After 68 minutes of play Tanganheira FC's Américo Morais was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes into the match, Tanganheira FC's Diogo Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tanganheira FC's David Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Tanganheira FC from getting a goal against them. José Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Alguber's Alexandre Veiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Pinheiro. David Pinheiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Luís Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Gomes walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Diogo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Tanganheira FC's goalkeeper David Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Melo. The Alguber players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tanganheira FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
