Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cândido Pinho got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Brás got free with Cláudio Ferro in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jorge Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Carneiro's late challenge caught a SC Casalinhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Casalinhos booed when Medros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jorge Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Medros's goalkeeper Cláudio Ferro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Alves. António Marques came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Medros's Afonso Assunção. But to his dismay, Afonso Assunção quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Medros defense, Carlos Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio Ferro. The Medros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Ferro should have stopped the shot. After 30 minutes, Cândido Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medros and the SC Casalinhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Medros's Cândido Pinho got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 37 played minutes SC Casalinhos got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Matias. Afonso Assunção struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. António Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medros. If Afonso Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cândido Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Marques having to interfere. Rui Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Brás to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Gonçalo Brás left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Casalinhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Cândido Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonçalo Brás struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cláudio Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Casalinhos. 70 minutes into the match, Medros's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Brás came free, but Cláudio Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Cândido Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. António Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Afonso Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Medros's Afonso Assunção nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Pinho in the 83rd minute of play forced SC Casalinhos's goalkeeper António Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Ricardo Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. António Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
