Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ricardo Alves got the match started through his kick off. Paulo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Matos having to interfere. 4 minutes into the match, Alcofra's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Magalhães came free, but Amílcar Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Alcofra defense, Paulo Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílcar Matos. The Alcofra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílcar Matos should have stopped the shot. Miguel Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Amílcar Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Barros made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when José Matos sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, Alcofra's Rui Silva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fábio Barros. Fábio Barros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, José Matos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of SC Codeceiro's Fábio Barros. Fábio Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Miguel Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílcar Matos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. José Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Barros having to interfere. José Matos in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fábio Barros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Alves in the 55th minute of play forced SC Codeceiro's goalkeeper Fábio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Miguel Magalhães notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Alcofra's Amílcar Matos. Amílcar Matos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SC Codeceiro's Miguel Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Carlos Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Codeceiro and the Alcofra players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Alcofra's Xavier Mendes tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Paulo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Amílcar Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alcofra's Rui Silva got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Paulo Torres fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Amílcar Matos, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Alves in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Codeceiro's goalkeeper Fábio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Alcofra's Ricardo Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fábio Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Paulo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Miguel Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Codeceiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílcar Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
