Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Macafaneira's Bento Azevedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Catarino Matos got free with Jorge Pacheco in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Caturela's André Rocha got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 13 played minutes Caturela got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Assis. Bento Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Borba having to interfere. A collision led to Caturela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ricardo Veiga hit a great ball. Viriato Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Baptista hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Macafaneira's zone, Catarino Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Pacheco came out of the goal and Catarino Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Catarino Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Macafaneira's Jorge Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Assis in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Caturela's Viriato Borba got control of the ball when Jorge Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Catarino Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jorge Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sebastião Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Sebastião Assis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 70th minute Catarino Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bento Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Viriato Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Bento Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caturela's Viriato Borba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jorge Pacheco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Catarino Matos's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Jorge Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Borba having to interfere. Macafaneira's Rogério Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jorge Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Sebastião Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the game, one of Caturela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
