But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Marques couldn't finish the play. Oliveira Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Silvalde's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Marques came free, but Gaspar Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Marques took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Castro. Xavier Lisboa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Nuno Nascimento when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to SC Remostia getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Afonso Ramos hit a great ball. With his leg Nuno Nascimento managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Silvalde's Xavier Lisboa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gaspar Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Marques in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Silvalde's António Gomes got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Xavier Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaspar Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Silvalde players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Remostia were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Xavier Marques made the kick off in the second half. Albertino Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavier Marques during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
