Afonso Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Alexandre Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of SC Estrada booed when Lapas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Amaral in the 17th minute of play forced Lapas FC's goalkeeper Basílio Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sandro Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, Viriato Pinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lapas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Estrada the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lapas FC's Viriato Pinto got a free kick in the 20th minute. Miguel Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Sandro Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Estrada's Miguel Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Miguel Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basílio Martins was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Miguel Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Sá in the 40th minute. Sandro Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Alexandre Faria made the kick off in the second half. Lapas FC were furious when Inácio Teixeira was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, SC Estrada's Diamantino Miranda got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Basílio Martins. Miguel Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Basílio Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lapas FC's Jorge Brás got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Miguel Amaral fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jorge Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jorge Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Basílio Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Amaral in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of SC Estrada booed when Lapas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Basílio Martins successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 97th minute, Armindo Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Estrada played a much better game than Lapas FC and deserved their victory. The Lapas FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
