Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Belide's Gaspar Andrade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Rocha during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Santiago FC booed when Belide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inácio Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Soares in the 5th minute of the match. Inácio Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Soares in the 10th minute of play. Rafael Rocha got his second yellow card in the match during the 10th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 11th minute, Rafael Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Fontes made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Júlio Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. When Vasco Soares fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santiago FC's protests and gave Vasco Soares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Vasco Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vasco Soares in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Júlio Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Belide fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Inácio Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Amaral in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inácio Araújo saved Belide from getting behind. Ricardo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Araújo having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Júlio Nogueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vasco Soares was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Nogueira came free, but João Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasco Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Araújo having to interfere. Ricardo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Araújo having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Santiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Álvaro Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfim Henriques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Fontes. Santiago FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Inácio Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Soares in the 74th minute of play. Ricardo Amaral struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Inácio Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santiago FC. Alberto Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Belide's Inácio Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Soares in the 77th minute of play. João Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santiago FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
