Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tiago Cardoso made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, SC Gional's Tomás Guerreiro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Óscar Carvalho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lourenço Veiga. SC Gional's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Sameiro booed when SC Gional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lourenço Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Jesus in the 6th minute of play. Tiago Cardoso scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lourenço Veiga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute Mário Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Borba having to interfere. If Fábio Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 minutes, André Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sameiro and the SC Gional players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, André Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, SC Gional's Amadeu Cruz tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Sameiro's goalkeeper José Borba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fábio Paiva. Fábio Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. José Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Mário Moutinho rounded Sameiro's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. In the 37th minute Tiago Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Sameiro's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Moutinho came free, but José Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Moutinho made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Sameiro's Miguel Jesus got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The attack was good, but when Fábio Paiva in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 59 minutes into the match, Sameiro's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Moutinho came free, but José Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. José Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Paiva in the 64th minute of play forced Sameiro's goalkeeper José Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tiago Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Tomás Guerreiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. After 76 played minutes SC Gional got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Guerreiro. Tiago Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Lourenço Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Gional's goalkeeper Lourenço Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Tiago Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tiago Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Sameiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Paiva came free, but José Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
