In the 4th minute Duarte Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermentoes's Diamantino Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Fermentoes from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Goncinha's Afonso Viegas got control of the ball when José Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 0-3 became the score in the 94th minute when Duarte Valente elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
