Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hugo Dantas got the match started through his kick off. Lourenço Brás stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Dantas's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Fontes in the 7th minute of play forced Avelal's goalkeeper Américo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Bruno Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avelal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Valonga FC's zone, Hugo Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Brás came out of the goal and Hugo Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Brás having to interfere. Bruno Moutinho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Lourenço Brás when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Eusébio Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valonga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Américo Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Hugo Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lourenço Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Martins to make the kick off. Joaquim Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Eusébio Setúbal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute, Hugo Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avelal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Américo Borges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Setúbal in the 72nd minute. Avelal's Hugo Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If André Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, André Martins fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Setúbal got free with Américo Borges in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lourenço Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Dantas in the 96th minute of play. Avelal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Valonga FC for a fine match.
