Carlos Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Safurdao FC. After a defensive mix-up in Safurdao FC's zone, Tiago Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Brás came out of the goal and Tiago Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Safurdao FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Tiago Guerreiro scored to the left of an out of position Daniel Brás, making the score, 0-2. In the 79th minute, Rui Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Lisboa's late challenge caught a Safurdao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Lisboa helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Leite in the 83rd minute of play forced Safurdao FC's goalkeeper Daniel Brás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Safurdao FC's Daniel Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Guerreiro in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Safurdao FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armando Resende was slow to take the kick. During this time Varsea's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Varsea's corner Armando Resende fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Daniel Brás quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Daniel Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Varsea eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
