Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Martins in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Brás prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Safurdao FC's Daniel Brás got control of the ball when Eusébio Setúbal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Martins in the 7th minute of the match. Catarino Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílcar Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lourenço Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Catarino Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catarino Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Brás having to interfere. If Eusébio Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eusébio Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valonga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Brás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Martins in the 38th minute of play. Humberto Fontes's late challenge caught a Safurdao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 45th minute Amílcar Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Valonga FC got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Aguiar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Martins to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Catarino Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Safurdao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílcar Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílcar Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute André Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes Valonga FC got a freekick which was hit by André Martins. After a rather tough play, Safurdao FC's Catarino Almeida got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Eusébio Setúbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valonga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Safurdao FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valonga FC's Eusébio Setúbal got a free kick in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
