Eusébio Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Nascimento in the 35th minute of play forced SC Alveijar's goalkeeper André Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Raul Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heitor Lopes hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. André Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, SC Tibo's goalkeeper Diamantino Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Morais. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Pires made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eusébio Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Alveijar's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Morais struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Diamantino Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Alveijar. When Lúcio Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Tibo's protests and gave Lúcio Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Tibo's Lúcio Paiva got a free kick in the 61st minute. André Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Morais in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Fonseca was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Pedro Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Pires in the 88th minute of play. The long shot by Lúcio Paiva in the 90th minute really tested André Fonseca's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Alveijar had played much better football throughout.
