With an all-out effort, Gala FC's Afonso Araújo threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rui Martins, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 4th minute, Pedro Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Hugo Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Afonso Araújo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Mário Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Carraptinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Aguiar couldn't finish the play. When Carraptinha's Lucas Assis in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gala FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute Mário Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Afonso Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Aguiar in the 20th minute of play forced Gala FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lucas Assis came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Carraptinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Assis couldn't finish the play. Mário Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Queirós having to interfere. When Lucas Assis came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Carraptinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Assis couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Mário Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carraptinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Gala FC's Emanuel Vale got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Duarte Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gala FC's Alexandre Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Assis in the 36th minute of play. Lucas Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes, Hugo Teixeira made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Carraptinha's Afonso Araújo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Gala FC's Alexandre Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Aguiar in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Teixeira in the 59th minute of play forced Carraptinha's goalkeeper Afonso Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Carraptinha's Mário Aguiar in the 64th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Alexandre Queirós was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Gala FC through an amazing save. Hugo Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gala FC's Alexandre Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Assis in the 77th minute of play. Hugo Teixeira scored 3-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuel Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Hugo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Pacheco fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carraptinha's protests and gave Pedro Pacheco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Carraptinha getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Pedro Pacheco hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Mário Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carraptinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 97 minutes into the match, Rui Martins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Araújo. Carraptinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Gala FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Carraptinha for a fine match.
