SC Ladreda's Fernando Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SC Ladreda booed when Bordonhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertino Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Oliveira in the 23rd minute of the match. Albertino Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Pinho went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Fernando Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SC Ladreda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Pinho couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Guerreiro was the one to do the kick off. Jorge Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Albertino Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
