Vicente Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Olmos FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Vicente Gonçalves hit a great ball. Joaquim Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Fernando Freitas made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Olmos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hélder Cardoso who took care of the corner kick. The audience held their breath when Eusébio Ramos in the 62nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Afonso Sá's left hand side. In the 71st minute, Óscar Maia made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Sá. Frangoneiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Afonso Lisboa took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Sá. Afonso Sá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Emanuel Anjos fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frangoneiro FC's protests and gave Emanuel Anjos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Frangoneiro FC's Emanuel Anjos got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Frangoneiro FC's Afonso Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Lisboa in the 87th minute of play. Afonso Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Joaquim Monteiro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Olmos FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
