Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Corticada's Rafael Amaro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. André Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Picarral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Amaro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Alberto Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corticada. With a little luck, Picarral's Alberto Nascimento got control of the ball when Paulo Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cláudio Moutinho scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Amaro in the 26th minute of play forced Picarral's goalkeeper Alberto Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Nascimento having to interfere. Rafael Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alberto Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Picarral's Alberto Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Picarral from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Corticada's zone, André Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Dantas came out of the goal and André Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Cabral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Corticada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vasco Porto was slow to take the kick. During this time Picarral's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Vasco Porto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquim Dantas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Picarral's zone, Paulo Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Nascimento came out of the goal and Paulo Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Picarral's André Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasco Porto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jaime Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Dantas having to interfere. Alberto Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulo Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alberto Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Nascimento having to interfere. David Lisboa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Branco during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Picarral's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
