Nuno Moutinho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Antigo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Rapijais FC's Paulo Delgado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marco Viegas. André Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Viegas having to interfere. Marco Viegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Veiga's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Marco Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Antigo FC's Alexandre Lisboa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, André Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapijais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Veiga was the one to do the kick off. Rapijais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marco Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Monteiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Júlio Coimbra could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Pedro Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapijais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Pedro Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When André Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Rapijais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Veiga couldn't finish the play. Pedro Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Viegas having to interfere. If André Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
