Galizas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Galizas's zone, Eduardo Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pinto came out of the goal and Eduardo Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delfim Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. João Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Paredes in the 28th minute. Delfim Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delfim Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. Guilhabreu's Armando Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Freitas in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, André Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pinto. Galizas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Delfim Almeida scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Pinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfim Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. Inácio Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Guilhabreu's Inácio Luz got a free kick in the 55th minute. André Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The referee gave Galizas a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alfredo Cabral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guilhabreu's Armando Jesus. 1-3. Alfredo Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Galizas got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Moura. André Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delfim Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Pinto came out and tried to block the shot, but Delfim Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 78th minute. When André Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Guilhabreu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Daniel Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Freitas during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Galizas's Francisco Freitas got a free kick in the 86th minute. João Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Almeida in the 88th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Freitas in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Jesus saved Guilhabreu from getting behind. With his leg João Pinto managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Guilhabreu's André Fernandes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Delfim Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Guilhabreu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galizas throughout the match.
