Afonso Borges started the match with the kick off. Pedro Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Louzado FC's Afonso Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Paredes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Argivai FC's Cristiano Paredes got control of the ball when Vasco Santarém tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Argivai FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Viriato Nogueira hit a great ball. Vasco Santarém's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristiano Paredes firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 12 played minutes Afonso Borges rounded Argivai FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Eusébio Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Louzado FC's protests and gave Eusébio Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Eusébio Queirós hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Argivai FC's Domingos Cunha couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Louzado FC. A collision led to Argivai FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Henrique Coimbra hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Marco Moniz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Argivai FC's Cristiano Paredes didn't even have to move. A collision led to Argivai FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Viriato Nogueira hit a great ball. The supporters of Louzado FC booed when Argivai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Argivai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Borges came free, but Cristiano Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vasco Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Adelino Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Paredes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adelino Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Manuel Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Manuel Mendes hit a great ball. In the 53rdth minute of the game Adelino Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Louzado FC's Pedro Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Argivai FC's Cristiano Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Santarém in the 62nd minute of play. When Adelino Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Argivai FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Pereira couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes Argivai FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Cunha. Bruno Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Pedro Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Bruno Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argivai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Adelino Pereira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 93 minutes into the match, Argivai FC's Adelino Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Argivai FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Louzado FC.
