Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Maia kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Supegal FC booed when Socorro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Socorro FC's Paulo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Faro in the 4th minute of play. Duarte Paredes hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Maia in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Carneiro saved Socorro FC from getting behind. When Armando Faro came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Supegal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Faro couldn't finish the play. Rui Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Paulo Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Carneiro having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Socorro FC's goalkeeper Paulo Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Socorro FC's Tomás Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Aleixo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Socorro FC's Viriato Bessa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Diogo Aleixo but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Supegal FC's Diogo Aleixo got control of the ball when Tomás Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute Armando Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Supegal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armindo Paiva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Diogo Aleixo came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Socorro FC's Tomás Lima. But to his dismay, Tomás Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 37th minute, Lourenço Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lourenço Gomes hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Maia in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armindo Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. Armindo Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Diogo Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armindo Paiva in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diogo Aleixo saved Supegal FC from getting behind. When Armindo Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Socorro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Paiva couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes, Augusto Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Socorro FC and the Supegal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Supegal FC's João Santos tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 63rd play minute Armando Faro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Paulo Carneiro. 1-1. Armando Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Carneiro having to make a save. Diogo Aleixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rui Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Socorro FC's Paulo Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Socorro FC from getting a goal against them. Socorro FC's Tomás Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tomás Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Supegal FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
