Pedro Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Neves having to interfere. Hugo Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jorge Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Soares having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Peleias FC's Duarte Vaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Soares. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Jorge Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Fernando Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedro Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Hugo Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Traveira FC booed when Peleias FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Peleias FC's goalkeeper Jorge Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peleias FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pedro Ribeiro 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After 69 played minutes Peleias FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Alves. In the 73rd minute, Pedro Ribeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorge Neves. The goal made the score 1-2. When Pedro Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Traveira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. When Jorge Barros came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Peleias FC fans jumped to their feet. Traveira FC's Fernando Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Barros in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st play minute Hugo Veiga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jorge Neves. 1-3. If Duarte Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Traveira FC played a much better game than Peleias FC and deserved their victory. The Peleias FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
