Bruno Borba struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jacinto Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Carris. Jacinto Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Assunção in the 22nd minute of play. Henrique Nascimento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Carvalho. Andres's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Bruno Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Humberto Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Carris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andres's Jacinto Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Assunção in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of SC Carris booed when Andres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Carris's Bruno Borba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacinto Carvalho. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Assunção stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Humberto Assunção notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Andres's Jacinto Carvalho. Jacinto Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rui Ferro made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Nuno Neto sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, SC Carris's Rui Ferro got control of the ball when Nuno Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuno Neto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 90th playminute. SC Carris's Bruno Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
