Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Cassaca's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Antunes came free, but Jorge Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simão Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Vieira in the 20th minute of play forced Vermil FC's goalkeeper Francisco Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cassaca's Artur Andrade got a free kick in the 24th minute. David Matos, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Francisco Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cassaca's Jorge Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Antunes in the 29th minute of play. Cláudio Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Antunes in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Tavares saved Cassaca from getting behind. Francisco Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Andrade in the 42nd minute of play. Vermil FC's Francisco Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Vieira in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simão Vieira to make the kick off. Jorge Tavares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gabriel Antunes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Artur Andrade's late challenge caught a Vermil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Artur Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vermil FC's Francisco Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Vieira in the 66th minute of play. Simão Vieira struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Francisco Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cassaca. João Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Jorge Tavares made a huge save. Jorge Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Gaspar in the 78th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Cassaca's goalkeeper Jorge Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Gaspar. If Gabriel Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Daniel Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cassaca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vermil FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vermil FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
