SC Ozao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cassaca the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Ozao's Heitor Leal got a free kick in the 8th minute. Jorge Tavares made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Augusto Gomes sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Simão Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Augusto Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Andrade hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cassaca getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Miguel Sá hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Artur Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. Álvaro Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Valente in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Vieira in the 43rd minute of play forced SC Ozao's goalkeeper Álvaro Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of SC Ozao booed when Cassaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Ferreira's late challenge caught a SC Ozao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 70th minute Heitor Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassaca's Jorge Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Leal in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Augusto Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ozao's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artur Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Jorge Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Leal in the 89th minute of the match. Álvaro Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
