João Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Vermil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Gomes came free, but Francisco Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Leal in the 25th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Heitor Leal to strike the kick off in the second half. Vermil FC's Francisco Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Leal in the 53rd minute of play. But to his dismay, Augusto Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 91 minutes into the game, João Gaspar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Álvaro Domingues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SC Ozao were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
