In the 2nd match minute, SC Buraca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Pereira to maneuver through the defense. When Alexandre Brás came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Nexebra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Brás couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the game, Afonso Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Buraca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nexebra the free kick. In the 5th match minute, SC Buraca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Pereira to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Correia during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 7 minutes into the game, one of SC Buraca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Nexebra. Luís Almeida stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hugo Gomes. 0-1. Heitor Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Heitor Leão came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Nexebra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Leão couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SC Buraca's Paulo Torres got a free kick in the 20th minute. Afonso Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Reis in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Fernando Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Buraca's Hugo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Leão in the 28th minute of play. Cristiano Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Afonso Fonseca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Fernando Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Fonseca was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Jorge Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Nexebra's zone, Fernando Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Fonseca came out of the goal and Fernando Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nexebra's Afonso Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Nexebra from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Leão in the 48th minute of play forced SC Buraca's goalkeeper Hugo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Nexebra got a freekick which was hit by António Pires. A hard shot 53 in the game by Alexandre Brás from a close distance when the talented Hugo Gomes managed to make a qualified save. SC Buraca's players were relieved. Heitor Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heitor Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alexandre Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Fernando Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Buraca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Heitor Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Hugo Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Almeida hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Afonso Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, António Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nexebra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Buraca the free kick. In the 80th minute, Cristiano Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alexandre Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Reis in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Buraca's goalkeeper Hugo Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Jorge Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nexebra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Buraca the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nexebra's Jorge Leite got a free kick in the 95th minute. Joaquim Correia missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 97 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Afonso Fonseca right hand side. The Nexebra players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Buraca from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
