Humberto Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lourenço Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Viegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Joel Valente made a huge save. In the 16th minute Humberto Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joel Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coroados's protests and gave Joel Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Joel Valente made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Rui Viegas sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, João Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coroados's supporters rose to their feet, but João Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lourenço Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humberto Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Garcia having to interfere. The tension between the Coroados and the Sanguinhedo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joel Valente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. João Ribeiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Joel Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Humberto Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lourenço Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Coroados's Armindo Cabral got a free kick in the 95th minute. Alexandre Domingues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Valente. Coroados's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sanguinhedo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
