The audience was convinced that Afonso Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Amaro was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Rafael Amaro came out of the goal and Joaquim Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Luz let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 42nd minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. In the 45th match minute, SC Valpedre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Correia to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Joaquim Baptista made the kick off in the second half. José Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Cardoso in the 53rd minute of play. If Amílcar Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Joaquim Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Joaquim Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Falagueiro's goalkeeper Rafael Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
