Carlos Resende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Lima in the 7th minute. A collision led to Firvidas FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Inácio Miranda hit a great ball. Basílio Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Trindade in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Rui Trindade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Resende. Rui Trindade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rui Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, SC Regedoura's Basílio Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Resende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Firvidas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Miranda to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Lima got free with Carlos Resende in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Basílio Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Resende having to interfere. Rui Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Carlos Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Regedoura's Fernando Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Queirós in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Regedoura defense, Adelino Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Fernandes. The SC Regedoura fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Fernandes should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Adelino Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Firvidas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Carlos Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelino Neto made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Manuel Queirós lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Fernando Fernandes. 71 minutes into the match, Firvidas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Trindade came free, but Carlos Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Resende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Rui Trindade took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Resende. Carlos Resende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Manuel Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Basílio Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Regedoura's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Miranda hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Firvidas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Lima came free, but Carlos Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Regedoura's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
