After 9 minutes, Rogério Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Infias and the Sande FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Infias getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rogério Teixeira hit a great ball. Miguel Azevedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domingos Moreira. Infias's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jorge Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Moreira having to interfere. When André Torres came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Infias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Torres couldn't finish the play. Domingos Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Leão in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Dantas in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Moreira saved Infias from getting behind. After some careless play in the Infias defense, José Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingos Moreira. The Infias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Moreira should have stopped the shot. Daniel Barbosa hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sande FC's goalkeeper Hugo Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Infias's José Bessa got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jorge Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Infias:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sande FC:s goal. Jorge Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domingos Moreira having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, Infias's goalkeeper Domingos Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Leão. Sérgio Cabral was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Infias's Sérgio Cabral got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Jorge Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Jorge Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
