Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Mariquiteira's Afonso Carneiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Cardoso during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Xavier Barbosa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sande FC's Hugo Reis didn't even have to move. If Pedro Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jorge Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Albertino Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Reis having to interfere. Carlos Cardoso was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 31st match minute, Sande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Paulo Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Sande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Dantas to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Jorge Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Albertino Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Jorge Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertino Teixeira was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Miguel Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Jorge Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Pedro Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After having played for 62 minutes, José Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sande FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Sande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Azevedo during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, one of Sande FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hugo Reis had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Xavier Barbosa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Hugo Reis came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Mariquiteira's Xavier Barbosa. But to his dismay, Xavier Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 72 minutes of play Sande FC's Daniel Barbosa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 73rd match minute, Sande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Vale in the 77th minute of play. When Afonso Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the SC Mariquiteira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Carneiro couldn't finish the play. After 81 minutes of play, SC Mariquiteira's Pedro Vale made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugo Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Sande FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
