Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Adolfo Veiga got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Menezas FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Emílio Pinheiro hit a great ball. Adolfo Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Correia having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, SC Matos's goal looked a bit too open when José Costa came free, but Daniel Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Matos's Daniel Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Veiga in the 19th minute of play. Adolfo Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Correia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Costa in the 27th minute of play forced SC Matos's goalkeeper Daniel Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Cristiano Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes, Emílio Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menezas FC and the SC Matos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Menezas FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Emílio Pinheiro hit a great ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Hugo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Matos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Matos's Daniel Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Veiga in the 72nd minute of play. Adolfo Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adolfo Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Abreu hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Adolfo Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute Adolfo Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Daniel Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
