With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Álvaro Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Menezas FC's Adolfo Veiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Luz having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Adolfo Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menezas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Sousa having to interfere. Adolfo Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Álvaro Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Menezas FC's Vítor Matias got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Álvaro Sousa. Emílio Pinheiro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Pedro Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfredo Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Adolfo Veiga made the kick off in the second half. Rui Borba kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When José Costa came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Menezas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Costa couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Luz having to interfere. When Joaquim Lisboa fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dominguizo FC's protests and gave Joaquim Lisboa a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquim Lisboa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes, Menezas FC's Vítor Matias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Álvaro Sousa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Menezas FC reached it. Menezas FC's Adolfo Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Veiga in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Baptista during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 76 minutes into the game, one of Menezas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Dominguizo FC. Jacinto Cabral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfredo Luz. 1-1. Menezas FC's Alfredo Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Neto in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute José Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquim Lisboa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. A collision led to Dominguizo FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Joaquim Lisboa hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, José Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
