In the 6thth minute of the game Paulo Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Casconha's Duarte Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Casconha's Vítor Lopes got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Pedro Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Duarte Abreu. Casconha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Pedro Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Casconha's goalkeeper Duarte Abreu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Figueiredo in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 played minutes Casconha got a freekick which was hit by António Cardoso. The supporters of Casconha booed when Refoios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Amaro struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Daniel Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casconha. After some careless play in the Casconha defense, Paulo Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Abreu. The Casconha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Abreu should have stopped the shot. Duarte Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gonçalo Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Duarte Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Abreu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Amaro in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Domingues saved Refoios FC from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When Álvaro Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Refoios FC's protests and gave Álvaro Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro Monteiro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Valente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Daniel Domingues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Anjos during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Refoios FC got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Anjos. When Casconha's Joaquim Amaro in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Refoios FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Pedro Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Refoios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pedro Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duarte Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joaquim Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonçalo Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Domingues having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Amaro in the 96th minute of play forced Refoios FC's goalkeeper Daniel Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Refoios FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
