Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) André Cruz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 18 minutes into the match, Fadagosa FC's goalkeeper José Resende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viriato Cruz. José Resende made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Viriato Cruz sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Ribeiro during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fadagosa FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nuno Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Cristiano Amorim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Resende skillfully saved the ball. If David Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fadagosa FC's José Resende got control of the ball when Viriato Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Viana having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when David Martins made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, André Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sabrosa FC and the Fadagosa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fadagosa FC booed when Sabrosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When David Martins came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Fadagosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Martins couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Sabrosa FC's goalkeeper Carlos Viana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Morais. After a defensive mix-up in Sabrosa FC's zone, Fernando Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Viana came out of the goal and Fernando Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Morais got free with Carlos Viana in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Cruz in the 74th minute of play forced Fadagosa FC's goalkeeper José Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Matias's late challenge caught a Fadagosa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Matias helped the player get up and apologised. Sabrosa FC's Viriato Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Viriato Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Fadagosa FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
