In the 15th minute Carlos Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Estoraos's zone, Cláudio Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Gomes came out of the goal and Cláudio Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Esteves scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 22 minutes of play, SC Estoraos's Gabriel Fontes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Assis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th match minute, SC Silval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Mota to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Esteves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Gomes having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cláudio Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Silval's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cláudio Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Gomes having to interfere. If Gabriel Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Gomes came out of the goal and Cláudio Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Esteves in the 47th minute of play forced SC Estoraos's goalkeeper Daniel Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

SC Estoraos's Daniel Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Estoraos from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the game, Gabriel Fontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Daniel Gomes was a little too slow when Carlos Esteves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 3-2. If Carlos Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Daniel Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Silval. After a defensive mix-up in SC Silval's zone, Gabriel Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Assis came out of the goal and Gabriel Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Gabriel Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Estoraos fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Silval had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
