Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Óscar Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateus FC's Carlos Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Tavares in the 8th minute of the match. Henrique Amaro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Sebastião Borges fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mateus FC's protests and gave Sebastião Borges a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mateus FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Sebastião Borges hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Vessadas FC's Óscar Porto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 20 minutes into the game, Vessadas FC's Armando Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Baptista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Carlos Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Armando Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Gonçalvess short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Óscar Miranda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Óscar Miranda made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Carlos Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Óscar Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vessadas FC booed when Mateus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Afonso Santos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 48 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Óscar Miranda was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.

The wind increased when Armando Vale made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mateus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Vale came free, but Vicente Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Baptista having to interfere. Fernando Domingues was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mateus FC's Vicente Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Mateus FC from getting a goal against them. Vicente Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Vale in the 80th minute of play. Sebastião Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vicente Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Coelho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Sebastião Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Armando Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vessadas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
