A wasted opportunity for Mateus FC. In the 20th minute Afonso Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio Bessa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Santos went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vicente Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rafael Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 32 minutes into the match, Mateus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Rodrigues came free, but Vicente Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Rodrigues in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Baptista saved Mateus FC from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Machado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Santos came free, but Lúcio Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mateus FC's Sebastião Borges got a free kick in the 37th minute. A hard shot by Hugo Costa from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Vicente Baptista's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With an all-out effort, Machado FC's Vicente Baptista threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristiano Rodrigues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 50 minutes, Raul Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Machado FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mateus FC were winning 0-1.

60 minutes into the game, Augusto Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mateus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Machado FC the free kick. A collision led to Mateus FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Augusto Neto hit a great ball. After 62 minutes of play, Machado FC's Raul Abreu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Baptista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lúcio Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 71 played minutes Mateus FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Domingues. Vicente Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Abreu in the 72nd minute of play. Cristiano Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Baptista having to interfere. When Carlos Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Mateus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Rodrigues in the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 minutes, Cristiano Rodrigues made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Raul Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. Machado FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
