Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Negrais defense, Rogério Bessa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Figueiredo. The Negrais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Alexandre Nascimento put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of José Figueiredo. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Alexandre Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Valenca's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. José Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Heitor Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Negrais got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Pinho. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Assis during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Negrais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Assis to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Negrais's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Nascimento came free, but José Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Rogério Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Valenca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Bessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Negrais's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Bessa came free, but José Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SC Valenca getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Diamantino Guerreiro hit a great ball. Sebastião Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Heitor Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Negrais's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Nascimento came free, but José Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Alfredo Santarém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Negrais. With a little luck, SC Valenca's Alfredo Santarém got control of the ball when Heitor Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Heitor Torres came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Negrais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Torres couldn't finish the play. Heitor Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Negrais's zone, Alexandre Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Figueiredo came out of the goal and Alexandre Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, SC Valenca's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Fernandes came free, but Alfredo Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alfredo Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Fernandes in the 62nd minute of play forced SC Valenca's goalkeeper Alfredo Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Adelino Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Negrais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Valenca the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Negrais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Pinho to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SC Valenca's Cristiano Mendes tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Alexandre Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Negrais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Vicente Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Cristiano Mendes sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Sebastião Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Santarém having to interfere.
