If Mário Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Caxarias FC's zone, Mário Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Amaral came out of the goal and Mário Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Caxarias FC's Cláudio Branco got a free kick in the 11th minute. Marco Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Soares in the 15th minute of the match. Nuno Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Magdalena's Amadeu Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Magdalena from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in SC Magdalena's zone, Afonso Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Fontes came out of the goal and Afonso Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vasco Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raul Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Afonso Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, Caxarias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Almeida to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Afonso Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caxarias FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Amadeu Fontes made a huge save. Afonso Torres was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Caxarias FC booed when SC Magdalena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Instead of passing the ball, Jorge Faro made a really hard long shot towards goal. SC Magdalena's Amadeu Fontes realized he got lucky when he saw the ball passing the outside of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Soares was the one to do the kick off. Afonso Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Amadeu Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Magdalena's Daniel Mendes got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Raul Monteiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Magdalena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caxarias FC the free kick. Manuel Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Amadeu Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Almeida in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Caxarias FC's Nuno Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Fontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Caxarias FC's Raul Monteiro got a free kick in the 94th minute. When Mário Soares came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Magdalena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Soares couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
