Nuno Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Fonseca having to interfere. If Jaime Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Paiva's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The long shot by Joel Andrade in the 27th minute really tested Ricardo Fonseca's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ricardo Fonseca was a little too slow when Nuno Paiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ricardo Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Paiva's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Nuno Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Fonseca was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 36 played minutes Espiunca FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Pacheco. 37 minutes into the match, SC Almagrinha's Fábio Correia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nuno Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Espiunca FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Catarino Ferro hit a great ball. Sebastião Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes in the game, Cláudio Ramos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ricardo Fonseca having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Borba was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Nuno Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espiunca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuno Pinheiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Ricardo Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Espiunca FC's Raul Cunha got control of the ball when Sebastião Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuno Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Fonseca having to interfere. Espiunca FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Almagrinha for a fine match.
