Jaime Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Paiva's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Gil Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Henriques having to interfere. In the 35th minute Bernardo Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Alcacovas's Rui Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Alcacovas booed when Coina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Bernardo Lima got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gil Henriques was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Bruno Guerreiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Guerreiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Paiva in the 71st minute of play forced Coina's goalkeeper Jaime Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Coina players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Alcacovas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
