Miguel Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Brotas FC booed when Arneirinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Moutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Bessa struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Bento Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arneirinhos. Bruno Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Bento Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Arneirinhos's Diamantino Bessa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 26 minutes into the match, Arneirinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Melo came free, but Miguel Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bruno Moutinho came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Arneirinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Moutinho couldn't finish the play. Miguel Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Lopes in the 43rd minute of play. Arneirinhos's Miguel Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Melo in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Moutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Bruno Moutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bento Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brotas FC's Bento Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Bessa in the 55th minute of play. Gaspar Melo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Miguel Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brotas FC. Miguel Branco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaspar Melo went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the game, Brotas FC's Joaquim Pinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Branco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 69 minutes into the match, Gaspar Melo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Branco. Arneirinhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Melo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Gaspar Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th match minute, Arneirinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Jorge Guarda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Branco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Arneirinhos's Gil Pinheiro got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jorge Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Diamantino Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bento Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Brotas FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
