Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eusébio Pereira made the kick off which started today's match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Brotas FC's Armindo Lopes in the 5th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Raul Figueiredo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Matozinhos through an amazing save. 8 minutes into the match, Brotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Pereira came free, but Bento Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armando Coimbra came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Brotas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Coimbra couldn't finish the play. If Ricardo Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Matozinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Nogueira couldn't finish the play. When Brotas FC's Armindo Lopes in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Matozinhos's goalie prevented a goal. In the 27th minute Eusébio Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brotas FC's goalkeeper Bento Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaspar Melo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Raul Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brotas FC. In the 43rdth minute of the game Armindo Lopes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Matozinhos's Raul Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ricardo Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Matozinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bento Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

48 minutes into the match, SC Matozinhos's Pedro Queirós broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armindo Lopes was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Brotas FC's zone, Ricardo Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bento Reis came out of the goal and Ricardo Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gaspar Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Figueiredo having to interfere. Armindo Lopes took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Figueiredo. Raul Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 67th minute of the match Rui Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Figueiredo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brotas FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Eusébio Pereira scored to the left of an out of position Bento Reis, making the score, 1-1. SC Matozinhos's Afonso Santarém shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bento Reis but with some difficulty. SC Matozinhos's Raul Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Lopes in the 79th minute of play. David Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Matozinhos getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. David Lima hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Jorge Guarda sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Matozinhos's Raul Figueiredo didn't even have to move. After 83 minutes of play, Brotas FC's Gaspar Melo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Reis having to interfere. When SC Matozinhos's Eusébio Pereira in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brotas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ricardo Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bento Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, SC Matozinhos's Eusébio Pereira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bento Reis. Bento Reis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
